There's always time to be creative

Another bummer week @ work ... 13 hrs of OT...
BUT thank goodness I managed squeeze in my side project ,which pretty much took over whatever free time I had left...but it was good stress :).My manager had requested me to make a card for her Dad to celebrate his achievements and journey in America; so here is the creation that had consumed my life for the week:
(gotta work on my inner photographer)

// Life's Moments //

What better way to lay out your best achievements than with an accordion card full of memories?
Card is front and back filled with pictures and little places for people to sign. First side was what I like to call the "earlier years" and then as we get to the back, we have the "present and the future" with grandchildren, etc.

Of course, I just wanted to throw in a few main items I used to make the card that I LOVED!

Stampin' Up Element of Style stamp set:
(which you can purchase if you click on the picture for the link)~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watercolor Trio stamp set:
(unfortunately this one is retired but maybe it'll be back...)
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Botanical Gazette Designer Series paper:
(also available for purchase until April 30th in the Occasions Mini)
So folks if interested in purchasing remember you can get the preferred pricing by adding me as your demonstrator!
if not, then I hope you enjoyed the pictures and hoped that it brought you some inspirations :)
The Good and The Curve Ball...
The Good:
My supplies from Stampin' Up has returned from limbo! I don't understand how it can be considered "delivered" if I don't get the package until the following Monday...and they were still NOT on my front door. Sitting on a cement slab by the neighbor's house, is not my front door!
The Curve Ball:
So here I am, still super excited about my new "side" project, then life decides to throw me a curve ball. Not even halfway through the week, I find out that this "side" project may potentially soon become my only form of income (if it even picks up) other than unemployment....how depressing is it to find out that one day, everything is fantastic and you don't have a thing to worry about to... full of crap?
Well that was a few days ago and since then, my head has started to clear. Few trips to the gym, few cups of coffee, and a whole week of unwanted OT/neglect pretty much did the trick. I can't worry about the uncontrollable. If the company decides to get rid of us, then there's nothing we can do to prevent that but since nothing is permanently decided yet (we're pretty much waiting for a death sentence) then I will just continue doing the best that I can until they make up their minds on whether to keep us or give us the big old boot.
life sucks sometimes but the important thing is to move on...
and of course being the "stressful" week that it was...I decided to bake something
banana muffins!
A post to make the blog less empty
My first post! Exciting!
I was really looking forward to getting my Stampin' Up supplies in the mail so I can get this whole demonstrator thing on the road. However, the only thing that seems to be on the road ...are the supplies. Due to the wonderful and thorough job of UPS, my supplies are now floating in limbo.
1 day ago:
Me: YES! supplies are here (according to the UPS tracking info)!
so I go outside....umm where is my stuff...? By the mailboxes, nope. On my neighbor's porch, nope. In a bush (maybe), nope. By the yelping chihuahua, nope. Went to ask the neighbor if they had seen a UPS truck, nope. 15 minutes later...this is getting ridiculous.... and I'm running late for work.
...in conclusion, its gone. Now I have to wait another week for Stampin' Up to resend me my supplies. :(
